What it does
EQUES-N is the Knight of the chess series within the Agribiosol range. Just as a horse can gallop for a long time while holding its performance, Eques-N supplies the plant with a long-lasting and effective source of nitrogen. The DCD nitrification inhibitor it contains inhibits Nitrosomonas bacteria and thereby slows the oxidation of ammonium (NH4+) to nitrite (NO2-). Inhibition of Nitrosomonas — through the reaction between sulphydryl groups and the C-N group of DCD, or through the action of metal groups on the respiratory enzymes of the bacteria — slows bacterial activity and so prevents nitrogen loss. Nitrogen leaching and volatilisation are reduced and nitrogen use efficiency increases.

Thanks to its special formulation, EQUES-N can also be used safely for foliar application. It remains on the leaf for a long time. Fruit size and ripening are healthier. It increases the resistance of plants to disease.
EQUES-N lowers the soil pH. It brings about the rapid breakdown of plant residues in the soil. It helps the soil maintain its air-water balance. At the same time it increases the uptake of phosphorus and micronutrients by plants.

- Soil application
- Before sowing or at sowing, as a base fertiliser with special equipment, or through the drip or sprinkler irrigation system in the early stages of the crop, 4-6 lt/da. From emergence and from transplanting onwards, in every period where it is needed, 2-4 lt/da
- Foliar application
- At tillering, stem elongation and fruit and grain formation, and at any stage where it is needed 250-500 cc/da
