What it does

CASTEL, which demonstrates superior performance characteristics in all soil conditions, is made available to our growers as a new-generation base fertiliser thanks to its special formulation. It contains % 7 nitrogen, % 21 phosphorus and % 0,4 zinc, complexed with organic acids and a wide range of organic compounds. As it contains no chlorine, heavy metals or salt, it can also be used safely in foliar applications.

CASTEL is the Rook — the castle — of the chess series within the Agribiosol range. The soil in which seeds germinate and plants put down their roots is, in a sense, the castle of the crop. It matters that the nutrients within this castle, that is within the soil, and phosphorus above all, are held in a dissolved and available form. This is where Castel comes in: thanks to its phosphorus sources in different forms, complexed with organic acids and organic compounds, it remains fully available to plants under any soil condition and even at low soil temperatures, and is not readily fixed in the soil. At very low application rates it is therefore both more economical and more effective than conventional base fertilisers applied at far higher rates.

Free from heavy metals, chlorine and salt, CASTEL protects and improves the vitality of the soil. It contributes to the development and multiplication of beneficial micro-organisms in the soil. CASTEL is therefore a new-generation base fertiliser built on advanced technology and developed for sustainable agriculture.

CASTEL can be applied to the soil through drip and sprinkler irrigation systems; in arable crops it can also be sprayed onto the soil with conventional sprayers before the final cultivation, with sowing carried out once the soil has been worked shallowly. It can also be used safely by spraying it into the seedbed with liquid-fertiliser seed drills.
